Meet the Coaches

Coach Roberto Garay, founder of the Caravan Kids Wrestling Club, began his wrestling journey in 1978 at St. Francis de Sales High School. In 1982, he made history as the school’s first wrestler to qualify for the IHSA State Tournament. He continued competing at the collegiate level, wrestling for both Monmouth and Concordia Colleges. After college, Coach Garay dedicated himself to developing young athletes, coaching at St. Francis de Sales, the Mount Greenwood Mustang Youth Wrestling Club, and Mount Carmel High School. His passion for the sport and commitment to youth development laid the foundation for what Caravan Kids Wrestling Club is today.
